Hawa Mahal is a most distinguishing landmark in jaipur. Also, known as “Palace of Winds”, built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799.

The design is given by Lal Chand Ustad and strongly constructed using red and sandstone. The design mimic the construction of the beehive. The architectural feature cool air to pass through because of the Venturi Effect.

Hawa Mahal consist of 953 Small Windows known as jharokas (in rajasthani language).

Hawa Mahal is situated in the main city area of jaipur (in Badi Chopad). The best time to visit Hawa Mahal is in between the months of october to march.
